Mission Work Update, May 11th.


Mission Work Update:

  I have raised enough money out of the amount I need to cover my plane ticket to and from over seas!!!  God is being SO unbelievably good to me!  None of this is me, it is all God.  I could do none of this without His will.  Everyone is being supportive, and praying for me, and I thank you all!
  I have only one cost expense that I have to cover myself, and that is getting to training camp in Wisconsin.  My mom informed me today that my plane ticket has been bought! I get on the plane 6:00am June 20th, and arrive in Chicago, 8:00am that mornign, where I will be picked up, and taken to the church, where all the people going will be meeting :-D
This is all so very exciting!... but, it is also scary.  I got a lump in my throat when my mom told me that I will be flying alone from here to Chicago (when I fly overseas I will be with our group.)  I have never gone anywhere by myself before, much less flown by myself.  Please, pray that God will calm my spirit, and fill me with peace, so that I will not be afraid :-)

I am SO excited though!!! I can't believe the moment is finally coming!! it's getting so close!
I have raised nearly half of what I need.  Please! pray that the rest will come in.  :-)  God is good, and I have full confidence, and faith, that He will provide :-)

    I was inspired by Miss Shelby's new blog "Every Bit Of Lovely". ( everybitoflovely13.blogspot.com) Her blog is so colorful
    and cheerful that I decided to make a button for it. It was really fun and it's actually on her blog now. Anyways, Lately
    I have been trying to think of different ways to raise a little bit of money and this is one that not only helped me raise
    some but is also a lot of fun. So, I looked online and to buy a blog button was about 20 to 25 dollars or so. Now, I'm not
    a professional or anything and if you ask me, that's a little much. So I'm going to be selling the buttons for 5 dollars
    each. I have a page on my blog(maddysdigitaldiary.wordpress.com)but you can just email me if you want one. What it will be is, I'll
    have you answer a few questions like the color you want, pattern, anything special, etc. Once you answer those I'll make
    your button and send it to you. If you don't like it or you want something a little different then I'd gladly change it for
    you. Once I email it to you, you would send me 5 dollars in the mail. You can also buy more then one at a time if you wish.

" Be careful of the conditional prayer that we as Christians (especially myself so often) make when feeling led by God to do something. He has already given His all - why do we still question whether or not we want to obey Him fully without reserve?

                         Thank you so much for your prayers and generous donation to my mission trip to Kenya, Africa.   Your prayers, and support  helped greatly.   God blessed, and worked greatly on my trip!  It was so amazing to see how God provided for my trip through all my friends and family.  I had an amazing summer in Kenya!  I spent a week in Wisconsin, training with my team.  Our training consisted of  team building, evangelistic training, and skill group training.  The skill group I was put in was puppets.  I loved being in puppets!  It was so much fun learning to dance and play.   While in Kenya, our ministry was in the slums of Nairobi.   We visited several childrens schools and orphanages.  We performed our puppet show for them, sang, played games, and danced.  We also made them dinner, an ethnic meal called “palau”, made up of rice, meat, and various seasonings.   It was a blessing getting to serve t
